Rotary practice!

Thought I'd try my rotary on my wheels as they're currently off the car whilst I paint the wheelwells.

The centres are supposed to be machined and lacquered but 16 years have taken their toll and the laqcuer's started peeling/flaking. Ideally they need a refurb but for now I figured I'd try my rotary and see what happened.

I used an old LC white pad and SSR3 and there's my initial result (no before shot I'm afraid - sorry)

I'm going to experiment a bit more as I'm pretty happy with what I've achieved so far - but it's wrecked my pad (now totally black and chewed round the edges) so will buy some cheaper pads available in the UK for about 1/3 the price of Megs/LC pads!

Intresting approach Andy. We did something alike on my old 309 Goodwood wheels outer rim. Masked off the graphite paint with a proper polishing mop, cut through the flaking mess on the outer rim and polished up the alloy underneath.
