Rotary pics

If it's ok with everyone here, I would like to see some of there work done with a rotary. For the longest time it seems like I've been wanting to get a new Makita. I think should help me give a better idea of what I expect from a rotary and give me a better feel of what it can and cannot do. Thanks,,,,,,,,AR

A rotary can do a great job for paint work. One of the drawbacks is that it can do damage real fast if put in the wrong hand. meaning it can burn through paint on an edge. It creates high heat in a little area as compared to using a D.A. machine.

Ouch! over $100 more than the Makita:eek: I guess that's the trade off though, easier of use or something so more price. But how long does it last? who knows

bufferman, I am well aware of the risk factors involved with using a Rotary. For me though, the result is worth the risk. Thanks anyway though:up AR

With my Bosch Rotary (#83, #80, EX-P) i went from this:

that's awesome man! very red and wet looking. that an old hood from something? looks that way? What are those 2 look like mini anchors on the panel there?? Very nice work! Keep em coming if you got em:up AR

AR,

Maybe more than a Makita, but a whole lot lighter. If you don't get worn out then you run less risk of losing control and doing some serious damage. My hands don't drag on the ground after 10 hour of polishing.

PM Anthony Orosco for his opinion of the Metabo. I'm just an enthusiastic amateur, but he does it for a living

This hood is from a junk '82 Toyota Land Cruiser. The 2 mini archors are for hold the windshield when you took it down to the front, over the hood. Thanks for your kind words AR, good luck with the rotary.:xyxthumbs
