Rotary/PC Maintenance...

Guys, like most mechanical devices, rotary (or orbital) buffers need to be serviced once in a while, right?

What's the regular maintenance schedule and which parts are supposed to wear out at any given time? How about lubrication and such?

My Makita doesn't say anything about when to send it in for service, re-lubrication, etc...

I don't wanna wait until something breaks down...

Thanks guys...

BTW, found a local Porter Cable distributor here but they don't (aren't allowed) to distribute 7424 here... bummer...

Hi,

what model is your Makita?

I'm going to buy BO6030 : that's a random orbital , 350 Watts , 4000 to 10000RPM.

As for maintanance : normaly all machines are lubed for life.Personaly , I maintain my machines (power grinder , power drills , hack-saw ,...) by blowing them out with compressed-air at least once a year.

And yes , I dare to take a machine apart for checking lube , bearings , seals,...(verry intensive industrial use , can't afford they break down at the construction-site)

Greetings
