Rotary or Flex?

I picked up a Metabo PE12-175 a few weeks back from allprotools. Ran me 210 shipped. It's gone up since then, must have been a sale.

Again, as I said above you can get the Flex 3403 Rotary for 206 shipped from Phil. It's not as torque-y as the 9227c or the Metabo.. but doesn't need to be if you aren't using anything bigger than a 6.5" pad.

How about a Flex Rotary? 3403's will spin a 6.5" pad just fine. They don't recommend any bigger though. Phil has them for 206 shipped.

I would like to get in contact with this guy and does any one have their thought on the dewalt rotary the old version vs the new flex rotary. i feel like the dewalt runs away from me alot and is not smooth. just got the flex 3401 and thinking about getting the flex rotary also? is it worth it?

I really like my 3403..it is plenty strong with a 6.5 wool inch pad. Just finished a 32 foot boat inside and out - that's like 3 -4 cars worth of square footage and gelcoat takes a lot longer and more pressure to correct. It held up fine....never bogged at all...
