Hey guys, im new here and new to the entire detailing thing. Atleast using a orbital buffer. I have always been into keeping my cars nice and clean, but jsut always used off the shelf products and did everything by hand. Well I bought a random orbital buffer here a while back, and it just didnt cut it for me. So I just purchased a used Porter Cable 7336 off ebay that needs some freshening up, new brushes I think. As you can spin the counter weight and then it will run. I also ordered some poorboy's world products in a kit which included the following:
16 oz. Poorboy’s Light Abrasive Swirl Remover SR1
16 oz. Poorboy’s Medium Super Swirl Remover SSR2.5
8 oz. Poorboy’s Natty’s Blue Paste Wax
16 oz. Poorboy’s Spray & Gloss
16 oz. Poorboy’s Spray & Wipe Waterless Wash
CCS 6.5 inch Gray Dual Action Finishing Pad
CCS 6.5 inch Orange Dual Action Light Cutting Pad
CCS 6.5 inch White Dual Action Polishing Pad
2 Cobra Microfiber Towels, 16 x 16 inches
12 oz. Pinnacle XMT Polishing Foam Pad Cleaner
Hey, I think i posted this in the wrong thread the first time around, so I reposted it here.
Along with some Tropicare TC-2.5 wax, TC-3 sealant, and some of there quick detailer.
Here are a few pictures of the fine scratches that my car has. It almost looks like it was sanded with 2000 grit sand paper and they didnt get all the scratches buffed out. I tried it by hand with some swirl remover and with my cheapo orbital buffer but it didnt touch it. Any advice from you guys, or if you think the above products should do the trick?? Pictures might be hard to see the scratches but I think you can get a small glimpse of them.
