Roof Rack oxidation

How do you remove oxidation from OEM roof racks?

I have tried RC, Polishes, Cleaner waxs, Viynl Cleaner and protectants all to no avail, am I do something wrong?

Maybe I need to try a different product or combo of products.

I'd be interested to hear this one to, the ones on some of the Jeeps that I clean look terrible no matter what you do. I clean them with a muilt purpose cleaner then dress them with a water based dressing, but that's a temp fix at best. I also have a black die for the plastic styleones that have oxdiatzed but that's not many of them
