Roof rack cleaning

How do you remove oxidation from OEM roof racks?



I have tried RC, Polishes, Cleaner waxs, Viynl Cleaner and protectants all to no avail, all the things I have tried are only temporary.



Am I do something wrong?



Maybe I need to try a different product or combo of products.

Sometimes the oxidation/UV exposure has done its damage, but it sounds like you can get yours OK, but they just don't STAY OK. I'd first clean/polish with RC/ polish/whatever, so that they look pretty good. Then use AIO, then top with BFII or PUPP. This works best for me and lasts quite a while. I treat most exterior surfaces such as these just like regular paint.
