road paint spray

i have an upcoming job and the guy said he had a few drops or road paint that had been flung up onto the door panels. didnt realy say how big or how many... im hopin for the best!

just curious how i should tackle these... i doubt clay would do anything. might pick at them with my fingernail, but realy, i have no idea.

suggestions?

I had the 'pleasure' of cleaning lots of white road paint from a black car. Fingernails (and every chemical I had available) were of no use. I ended up spending about 6 hours with a claybar to get it off.

Goof Off . . .

Boy does it work wonders. I use it for a ton of hard to get off stuff such as tar, paint transfers (when another car hits another car and transfers paint)

toss some on a terry towel or a microfiber and lightly rub, and proceed to washing.

I did one recently with a lot of road paint on it. I used Stoner's Tarminator and a plastic scraper.

i have goo gone... is that at all similar to goof off?

good call on the rubber scraper!

i have personally never used goo gone so i couldn't tell you. I'm sure it is similar but my experience with goof off has been great.

I think goo gone is less potent.

well he said if i couldnt get it off it wasnt a big deal. he just wants it cleaned up. its not going to be a show car.

so it ended up coming off. just used my finger nail and some simple green max! the rubber scraper didnt work :(
