I believe Culligan has a rental system available. There is also a big company called "US water" or something like that. I am sure Joe from Superior Shine uses RO water - maybe you can ask him.

Check your local yellow pages under water.
You have three options.
1. Rent Deionized water tank systems. These tanks are good for around 1200gal. of spot free water then you exchange them for fresh ones.
2. Rent a Reverse osmosis system and have it installed at your home with a storage tank of a 100 gal or more. This unit will waste 3 gal. of water for every one of RO.
3. Buy water from a bulk water supplier. This will cost you .10 cents a gal.
Don't waste your money on all this crap that is being sold for mobile guys. You know those little filters. Their CRAP. I should know I have purchased a couple in the past.
Witch ever way you go with your water you will be very happy with the end result. If you are doing a lot of weekly washes it's like having a helper with you.

Really gotta consider the waste issue. We have two RO systems for drinking water and they really do waste a lot of water. And it takes a while for water to pass through the RO system so if you run the tank dry your SOL for quite a while.
Maybe deionized would be feasible, but I dunno about RO...

Thanks for info . Ron I recall in some of your posts you talking about RO water and you using it . I was looking into those filter kits you were talking about but I thought they seemed cheap , now I know why , thanks for the heads up .

Yeah from what Ron said and what little I've read about RO water I'm starting to think the same thing. I knew there was some waste in making it but I wasn't aware it was so much.
The time factor was another question I had , and from the sound of it , it would take longer then I thought to fill a 125 gallon tank.
Is RO water the same as deionized water ?

I know that DI water is 99.9% free of any minerals. It's not good to drink. DI water will leave a finish looking a little dry looking if it has no protection. Not that it will strip the finish.
A good RO unit will utilize a pump to push the water through the membranes. There are some good units out there that cost over a thousand dollars and donâ€â„¢t produce as much waste as the lesser expensive ones. Same units make 100gal. in 24 hrs. Others can make 100gal. in a couple hrs.
I buy my water from a local water store. The front of the store sells to people who bring their own bottles. The water I get from the back comes strait from the 2000gal. Storage tank. It dose not go through the UV filters for final purification.

I have an RO unit . I bought it off ebay from a company in BC. If you check it out they have long list of info on buying one.
Mine is rated for 75 gallons a day but i might get half that. And it wastes more than 3 gallons per gallon but you could bypass a couple filters to reduse waste. Because it depends on many factors such as house water psi, mineral content etc.
I think i paid under $300 can. for the unit and 5 years of filters.
Around here every car wash has RO rinse.
