RMG polish

Just a real quick question. I will be polishing the paint on a car that is in near perfect condition. My question is, do I need to remove the old wax prior to using RMG. It is my understanding that RMG has a little cutting action so will this remove the old wax. I was going to use P21s paint cleaning stuff, then the RMG but the more I think about it am I just giving myself more work? THANKS

i didn't think RMG had any cut. I could be wrong though. To be safe why not try a 50/50 IPA wipe down after wash or clay.

Yea, RMG (red moose glaze) is a glaze, no cutting abilities. You won't be polishing, just filling. Honestly, I've used RMG before and haven't really seen any improvements on my vehicles I've detailed. But lots of people on the forum love the stuff. Are you planning on applying a wax after you glazed?

RMG has paint cleaners in it which can help get rid of old wax and such. Personally, I'd either use AIO or some other paint cleaner, or if I'm not using it, I'd go with a 50:50 IPA wipedown before applying the glaze.

As paul34 mentioned, RMG does have cleaners but they are not very strong when compared to other paint cleansers (PB's PP, AIO, etc.)
