RMG + EX-P on clear-coated wheels

Hey, few questions about sealing wheels. I have clearcoated wheels which are fairly swirled. Car had about 5000 kms on it I got it and been dealer washed a few times (paint has been fixed, now the wheels :) ) How would I get rid of these swirls? Would OP work? What about Klasse AIO? I have heard that the clear coat on GM wheels is usually pretty thin, so Ive gott abe careful. What about Mothers Mini Powerball?



Another way I was thinking is the title. What about applying a coat or 2 of RMG, followed by 2 coats of EX-P? Will the filling capabiliites of RMG last as long as the EX-P is still protecting on top?

EX-P will have some bonding problems over RMG. I've polished OEM GM wheels with some 4 inch pads and OP, but not OC. Turned out great (light cut pad). I typically seal with either DP wheel glaze or AJ. Both seem to have about teh same longevity.

I disagree. Ive been using EX-P over RMG on my paint, and I've had no bonding issues.

I can't use OP. The wheels are thinly CC'ed with very light swirls.



CleanFreak, IVe read the Poorboys Wheel Sealant doesn't last any longer then any other paint sealant??

Duly noted. I did a test panel with half RMG and half nothing topped with EX-P... got about 5 weeks out of the RMG side and over 8 from the plain EX-P side... perhaps not simply a bonding issue, but in my experience, it did comprimise durability, even if only for a few weeks.
