Scott,
Sorry for reacting late, but the outage caused by the terrible weather in SoCal prevented me to write earlier. Here in Hungary Autopia was down almost 3 days.
It would be unwise from me to recommend any products without the basic comparative knowledge because I haven't used so many products available in the States. But for me they worked more than fine!
I feel that they must be similar to Hi Temp. Industrial smell, but works good. The polishes are definitely worth the try! When you work them - even the coarser ones - long enough, they break down so fine, that they leave an extremely smooth RTW finish.
Sad, but the sales rep was (is) a classic buffer mark specialist. When I recommended him to prime the pads with a quick schpritz of QD or even distilled water, he sent me to warmer climates. Then, some 3 weeks later he told me that it worked! Less holograms! Now he must work the products a bit longer and then he would get an even finer finish.
Some of the products can be a LITTLE harder to remove (oily) but the finish is always good. They planning to introduce a clay, but they already have an IFO decontamination fluid (similar to Finish Kare). I did all of my work with PC, so I don't know the rotary-abilities of the products.
Take a look to their website (either
www.riwax.com or
www.riwax.ch - the same)! Their English is bad, but you get the image. Lots of products... dressings, extractor-fluids, etc. etc.
I saw them first time on the Geneva Motor Show, around 1995-6. The cars on their stand were always meticulously prepped and finished. However, I didn't care about them 'til this year, when I saw their van. (FYI: That was AFTER I started to browse this forum!
