That is great. you guys are lucky, a great deal for that vac. nobody around here has any left. wish I would have known earlier about the sale :wall
 
if somebody comes across one of these vacs at their Local Home Depot or has an extra one, give me a holler. I would be willing to trade a brand new unopened can of Meg #16 + pay the shipping on the vac. anybody interested PM me please.

Thanks for trading out the 16#:sadwavey: ..i was about to tell you HD is running commercial ads as of today so i beleive they have them in stock..

Couple years ago they had that same sale and they ran out, but my Home Depot agreed to upgrade to the 16 gallon. It's bigger than I wanted, but dang, for the price I couldn't pass it up. This vacuum really "sucks".
 
Are the nozzles that come with the vacuum all I need for the car or do you guys recommend getting the "Car Detailing Kit" as well? It came with a car nozzle but not the crevice nozzle.

Joe, sure hope you are right. I called the 3 stores around me and they are all sold out. checked on line from last night to be sure, nothing . the #16 was one of few that a friend found for me after you hooked me up. Joe you can be sure that yours is safe in my secret hiding place lol ! to be honest I gave up on that trade. . Joe you know me good enough that I would not part with my last can of #16. if my vac was not such a PIA I would just keep it but it is cumbersome at best. still not sure what happened to wheels on it, the kids say the dog did it....... wait a second I do not have a dog :LOLOL Joe or anybody else if you hear of any other deals on this or find one please keep me in mind. here is there link for the vac on HD. you snooze you loose is so true on this one, can not believe I missed it :sadwavey: congrats to the people who snagged one, it was a great deal for sure.

I purchased the detailing kit and it makes it much more convenient for cleaning cars and tighter areas. The 2.5" hose isn't very long and it's very cumbersome. With the detailing kit you get a 10' section of 1.25" hose that's also much more flexible and comes with attachments . I can set my vacuum at the front of my Navigator and pretty much vacuum the whole thing without having to move it. I'd highly recommend it. If you already have a small older wet/dry vac with the smaller hose, you can just by the adapter to connect up to the 2.5" hose as they're only like $4.00.

I wish i had good news for you flatstic..i tried three stores yesterday and all where sold ou :down ..t i was told today was the last day for the rigid promotion sale..

Hey Joe , you did your best and had your eyes open. I thank you for doing that for me. you have always impressed me as a great person. I appreciate the effort you made. a true Autopian in my book. somebody suggested I go down today ( being the last day ) and see if they can get one from a store who has one. not sure if they would be willing to do that or not.

Joe, can not believe you found one. I can not thank you enough for spending your time and energy. especially since the floorguy almost got to feel the power of forearms of steel from a lot of :waxing: :grinno: I sent you a Pm. what a fantastic way to start work. my co-workers are curious though why I keep going :heelclick lol ! once again you have impressed me. hate to sound like a broken record but there are some really great people on the forum and am proud to be a part of the group. let me know if there is anything I can do for you Joe, to show my thanks. now what to do with the old one...... maybe a flower pot :spit:
