I believe this model only has a 3 year warranty, not the lifetime like the $99 ones advertised. Still an awesome deal though for a 5 hp wet/dry vac.

In the morning at 5 am, I went to Sears with my dad to get a floor jack for the car. We then went home, rested a bit, and left again around 6:10 to Home Depot. I didn't want to take any chances with such a good deal 
They had at least 30 vacs piled up together.
Anyway about the vac: It does carry a lifetime guarantee. It's quite big, bigger than I had imagined. It's great for vacuuming the car/carpet. It's also fantastic when used to pick up sawdust and other dirt in the basement (we're doing construction in the basement). At home, however, it might be a bit too big to effectively get around. Not that it's heavy at all, it's just... too bulky. The suction is very strong. When I was trying out the carpet in the living room, it kept trying to suck the carpet in. I had to tilt the suction head so that it wasn't giving full suction power.
I haven't tried out the wet capabilities, but I'm sure it will be great from the reviews that I've seen.

Just a little bit ago (3pm cst), walked out of HD with a 4550 Ridgid for 89.99 plus tax.
They thought they had run out, offered me 10% off any other model and I managed to find one behind the steel shelving, all covered in dust. He just told me to keep the 10% off as a finders fee. Haven't used it yet but looks really nice and did plug it in and check everything out.

aww man, I wish I had walked into the home depot I went to, especially now knowing it has a lifetime warranty. On homedepot's site this morning, it only mentioned a 3 yr warranty. I figured everyone would have bought this within the first few minutes of the store opening. I should have at least walked in and checked.

I picked me up one about 6 oclock am the big ticket item was a flat panel tv there was only 18 and was gone in like 30 sec. I didn't catch the size or price I didn't even know they sold tv's.

32" lcd 1080i only, with built in HD tuner, lcd does not look that great and all new stuff will be 1080p. but not bad if you need a tv.

If I knew that had them and you were going I would have sent you the cash and money to cover the shipping. it is funny because my shop vac is on it's last legs literally :grinno: it keeps tipping over and landing on the back of my legs. my neighbors must get a good laugh at me. would not be surprised if I end up being on America's funniest home videos. just hope I get a cut of some of the cash :woot:
