Rightlook Detailing training programs?????

Has anyone gone through the Rightlook Detailing training program in San Diego, California? I went down their today and bought the Wash Mat...haven't used it yet. But, I learned about this program and I'm really interested to find out if anyone has gone through it. Please let me know.
 
I was going to go to the training but it was going to cost me 2 grand .. ive learned more here and im glad i came to my senses .if you want to drive to central ca sometime id be glad to help you out or just ask alot of questions here .. detailing isnt rocket science . you just need to learn what products are used in different situations . you can buy lots of supplies or an extractor for that money
 
I agree with Big Ron the forums are great to learn on and you can find a pro detailer to take you under thier wing and help you out.
 
Son---Come to Kentucky and stay a week or a month :) --you can rent a room at the best western, eat at McDonald's with us (lodging and food may be $400 tops for 30 days-lol)--and be trained in anything and everything on wheels (and a bunch of boats)--for the low low price of nothing. We will run the gauntlet in a weeks time--buffing, claying, steam cleaning, pressure washing, detailing motors, extracting and customer service--lol We will work on car lot details, cop cars, church buses, box vans, boats and individual cars from bmw's to toyota camry's and pick-up trucks.

You live far enough away that I wouldn't have to worry about competition and it would be so nice to get to work with someone that's eager to learn and succeed.. I tell ya--Getting help that doesn't want paid cash at the end of the day (when or if they show up) is nearly impossible. Honestly my offer stands if your interested. Pm me :phone:

but I am willing to bet that some of these fellows (and gals) would be more than willing to give you some help (for some grunt work in exchange) if you where to promise a non-compete clause.

Aloha Jug Head , man what a cool reply to a new guy looking for answers.WOW right on !!

AS for the original poster , these guys have good points . For 2k you could have a hot water extractor for interiors and some great products .Stick around the boards here and ask questions. Welcome

Find a mentor, and work (hard) for free.
The 'trades' have been training apprentices for centuries in this manner!

Keep an open mind, and read, read...

Some of the Chemical companys offer training Ardex is one I know of . If your anywhere close to Meguiars headquarters they offer some detailing how to's . This place is a great learning tool . :bigups Good luck
