Right Porter, Right Price?

No.

If you live near a Lowe's the 7336 SP ( NEW ) can be picked up for $109 and tax and it already has the 6 inch counter weight for the 6 inch backing plate that comes with the CMA kit.

www.coastaltool.com also carries the PC new and at $115 or so.

what he said:)

Be sure to go to Walmart.com and print out their page on the Porter Cable that they sell for $98, then take it with you to Lowes. They will price match and take another 10% off so you are down to about $93 depending on your state sales tax. I just did this Friday with no problem at all.

Their webpage for the PC does not give a model number at all, and some people, including myself, have been able to get the price match at Lowes with no problem. Just take the PC to the register and show them the printed webpage and ask for a price match.

When I walked up to the counter with the pc in haand they asked me "Whould you like to return that?"

I said no and tried to get the discount. She wouldn't let me get the discount! She was the manager, and she recited the fine print for me without looking!

I was mad. I got no discount.

When I was leaving I was thinking of going back in and returning somthing what was $25 since they oblviously take stuff back that hasn't been paid for...

local retailer.

has to have it in stock

has to be on the shelf

can't be a special order item

she got me for those. there's more though that she said.

Greetings!

This is my first post....do I get a free bottle of polish? Just kidding.

By the way, Home Depot in Rockland County, NY is selling the Porter-Cable 7424 at $99. Each box has a polishing pad included.

The Bergen County, NJ stores are out of stock, but they sell it at $99 as well.

grimmster,

This is true, but the 6" polishing and buffer pads bolt on as per CMA. However, if you want to use the PC as a sander and use 6" pads you have to purchase a heavier counterweight to offset the centrifugal forces of the heavier sanding wheels. The polishing/buffing pads are not heavy enough to pose a problem.
