Reviewed: FK1 #350 POLY DRESSING / PROTECTANT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Product: FK1 #350 Poly Dressing / Protectant (Satin Finish)
Price & Price Per Ounce: $25.80 for a gallon / .20-Ounce
Manufacturer Claims: 350 is rich thick formula designed for use on both exterior and interior surfaces of automobiles, trucks, rv’s and boats.100% free of harmful silicones this poly resin blend contains special ingredients that help penetrate and protect vinyl, plastic and rubber surfaces. The result is maximum protection and a long lasting like new appearance. 350 protects against UV damage, drying, cracking and discoloration. When used surfaces are left with a medium gloss, dry non-greasy finish.
Packaging: I received this in a 4 ounce bottle as a sample to try out. It came with some other samples to try (pending review) that were included in my order of #2180, FX100, and #425.
Color/Scent/Viscosity: The product is creamy white with a slightly thicker texture than Admas VRT. More along the lines of "Poorboy's Leather Stuff".
How I used (as per instructions): Tires were cleaned with "Oil Eater" degreaser, then followed by left over wash soap after the wash.
I applied two 3'' Spaghetti thick lines to an Eagle One Tire Swipe and spread around the whole sidewall of the tire. I had to press hard a little bit in the beginning in order to dress the whole tire. Thicker dressings are always a pain for me to dress with. In the end it covered the whole side wall and dried very quickly without streaking the rubber.
Overall Thoughts:
I like it. Seems very top notch coming from people who know their stuff. I loved the way it dried so instant and the rich black but low gloss shine it gave. I compare the look fo this product to Adams VRT, with a bit more gloss but not more than BnB. In the end I only used about an ounce of product. Pretty good considering I like to waste products in most of my applications.
Other notes: Make sure you have a clean tire first. I applied it to the rubber trim along my window moldings and the product streaked and was abled to be smudged off if applied enough pressure.
