Review of Opt Hyper Compouns and Hyper Polish Spray

I just got a response back from Dr. G, and here is what he said:

"Thank you for your email and your detailed review of the Optimum Car Care products. I am glad to hear that the new hyper system worked well for you. As far as the sprayers, it takes some getting used to like any other new product/process. The sprayers work best if you pull the trigger quickly otherwise, the product doesnot dispense properly. Some also prefer applying 4 half sprays instead of 2 full sprays to get a more even application. In the latter case, they still need to pull the trigger quickly in order to get a good spray pattern.

I hope that you continue using the Optimum Hyper Compound and Polish and I can assure you that the results will improve as you become more familiar with this new system. Also, you do not need to remove the residue from the Hyper Compound if you are using the Hyper Polish right afterwards. This should make the process easier and more efficient.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks again."

Excellent! Thanks for the tips.

i only do my vehicles so they weren't really bad but i used the hyper polish after it first came out and was amazed at how well it removed the rids on my truck and cars and finshed down lsp ready...great stuff.

Could just be me but the Hyper Polish spray did not finish down well via rotary on soft black lexus paint.

Anybody else see how that product does on soft paint using rotary and a polishing pad?

Great to hear the feedback from multiple people.
I won't rush to get the compound since I have a bunch of 105
Jon, would you give the polish a 10/10 as well?

I would give it a 10/10 for ease of use and as far as cut and how it finishes down I cant say just yet. I need to play with it more. I used it as a one step on my girlfriends car and it turned out beautifully (I used the Flex) and as youll read below I had it not finish down quite so nice.

I have tried it on accord paint. I was helping a buddy polish out his car and I was using the rotary and the Hyper Polish just came in the mail so we were playing around with it and it didnt finish down as nice via rotary on his car as m205 did. I need to play with it more to get a better feel for it

Overall it is looking very promising but I dont want to go too much one way or the other because I havent really used it enough

Well said. Most polishes seem to work great the first few go-arounds, its 12-15 full corrections down the road when you are SURE something is going to be a staple in the arsenal.

Thanks for the info, I'll be keeping an eye out for more feedback from those of you that are using it.

I am very interested in trying both products, also curious about the new opt pads

Ditto on the pads. Almost bought some to go with the new polishes, but couldn't bring myself to spend over 60 bucks for 2 double-sided pads. I saw the video demo with Dr. G at AG and wonder if they're really good enough to go from wool/ohc straight to foam/ohp?
