This will be my review of the following BriteMAX products now available at Autopia:

Black Max - Ultra Fine Polish http://www.britemaxusa.com/acatalog/BLACKMAXUK.pdf

Pictured are the products I received for review from an Autopia Giveaway of BriteMAX products.

The vehicle I am detailing is a 2009 Lexus IS250.
This was detailed over a year ago with Poorboys PwS but needed a bit more correction. It looks even worse after a year.

If you look closely at the hood this thing has water spots all over it and quite a few chips and areas that were touched up. (may be hard to see in photo)

I foamed the car with my foam canon. The lower panels were treated with a 50/50 mix of Bug Squash a few minutes prior.

After rinsing I then hand washed.
I finished off with a Nanoskin Autoscrub wash mitt paired with a bucket of Hose Free Ecowash to substitute claying.
I wiped it down with Meguiar's Final Inspection to remove any water spots and pulled it in to the garage.

For my review I will be showing the results of half the hood. I detailed the entire car using the same process but wanted to show how the products worked on the hood.
I used my Rupes 15 with a 6" White (Natural) DRC Pro Medium Cutting Pad and started with PrestoMAX Light Compound.

I primed the pad and then put a few large drops to start.

Since this is a small hood I divided the half into just 2 sections and did 5 section passes on each.
The Compound spread nicely and had a long work time. I got minimal dusting on my second section.

RestoMAX Light Compounding done.
Not yet wiped off.

The paint looked so much better, I was tempted to stop there.
Most of the water spots and swirls/scratches were already gone.

After wiping off the Compound (sorry no pics of that), I switched over to a DRC Black Finishing pad and primed my pad with the Black Max Ulta Fine Polishing Glaze. The directions on Vantage Wax also suggest prepping with BlackMax first.

I did the same amount of passes as I did with the compound. It spread easy, was easy to work AND NO DUSTING.
Here are the results before wiping off.
WOW! Now I'm seeing a huge improvement through the light haze.

NOTE: The reason I don't have any photos of the bare paint in the garage is I couldn't get any good shots comparing the two sides. So I waited until I could get half the hood completed to show the comparison outside.

Next UP BriteMAX Premium Carnauba Paste Wax

I applied Vantage to half the hood and waited more than the suggested 10min cure time.

OK...it's time to go outside and see some results. The glossy area is where I worked....hows it look? (looks like I missed tiny bit of wax removal)

Here are some photos showing both sides of the hood.

This was to show how well BriteMAX products worked for me. After the hood comparison was complete I Compounded and Ultra Polished the whole car and appled VANTAGE Wax to allow it to sit overight.

After a good night sleep I got up at 5am had my coffee and went out to see the results.

TO SUMMARIZE:

I was really impressed with the BriteMAX Products I was given to do a review on. The Compound and Polish had no added scent and the Vantage Wax smells like coconut. The Wax states it should last 3-4 months so I will give an update on how it's holding up.
Personally, I never heard of BriteMAX until Autopia started carrying it.
Having detailed for only a few years as a hobby, I really couldn't believe the results I got. BriteMAX made this detail easy.

I would like to thank Autopia for allowing me the opportunity to do this review. Paul made a great choice of products to send. I hope this review helps others wanting to try the BriteMAX line.
I'm Sold and plan on buying more.

WOW! Amazing review Shawn! You took very nice pictures of every step. I enjoyed reading your review a lot.

Looks like BriteMAX products work extremely well. Your sister's Lexus looks phenomenal!!! Great job!

Great work and Great Review!
I got to use the same products this weekend and was also very impressed with the results.
Keep up the great work!

Thanks, Guz, Ron, Marc, Tim & Paul. I used Photo Bucket this time so the photos seem to be working. :yay
I never knew that I could preview a thread before starting it. So I was able to make sure everything worked before posting it this time.
I personally thank Marc for all his help too. I used his suggestion and built the whole review in Notepad. So much easier.

I never realized how hard it is to capture paint photos. The water spots covering the hood hardly show.

I did want to add that I also tested Resto on the headlights. The item description states it works on plastics and Lexan. They had some yellowing that came right off with the Rupes Mini w/ a LC 4" White Pad.

Hi, very nice writeup. Was the Britemax compound and polish enable you to remove all the scratches and swirls?

YES..the Restomax Compound removed most of the scratches, all swirls and water spots.
The Black Max Ultra Polish improved the gloss to a much higher level.
If you can zoom in on the hood, there were quite a bit of chips that I can't do anything about.
The only etching I saw that remained was a few on the roof. I didn't see them until applying the wax. I believe they are bird etchings that didn't come out. I didn't stand over the roof so may have missed them too.
