Review: New A-UV Polymer Wax

Ok, I finally got an opportunity to put this new stuff to the test.

My sister wanted me to detail her Hyundai (hate those cars). She has never waxed it since she bought it 2 years ago. In fact she has hardly ever washed it.

Running my hands across the paint surfaces after washing the car, it was rough as could be. So first I clayed the car completely using clay magic. I started with wg pre-cleaner and an orbital. After a complete treatment, the paint started to have a shine and looked a lot better, all rough feeling was completely gone and it started to reflect sunlight.

Then I used the A-UV Liquid Polymer Wax that I got for my car. It went on very runny like a really thin liquid. Spreading was very consistant. Using a hand application at first, I didn't think i was getting it on thin enough so i switched back to the orbital. Once the whole car was covered i waited about 30 minutes for it to cure, a little longer thanthe instructions said.

I used a micro fiber towel to wipe the car down. I was completely impressed. Immediately the sun was glaring off the car so strong it hurt my eyes a bit... next time i'll find a shaded area. The A-UV residue came off extremely easy and left a super shiny gloss over the car. The metallic was practically jumping out of the paint. Running my hand across the surface, it felt slippery as all get out.

I took photos which i willpost on here this weekend after they are developed. by the way, i tried to take a picture with the bottle on the hood so to show the reflection in the paint.. but it wouldn't stay on hood, kept sliding off.

Wg pre-cleaner with A-UV Liquid Polymer is a definately must!!!!!:xyxthumbs

I have to agree with the Liquid Polymer part. Preferably i think wg is to close to other products. Ive had really great results with the A-UV. The last time i waxed with it was about 2 months ago really. I have washed the car about 5 times since then and it still has bright shine and has pretty much kept a slick feeling to the touch. On a couple of occasions i used QD to touch up a few bird droppings etc... but it still looks good. I'm gonna order their Interior Stuff this weekend. A-UV is the bomb!

I took this pic on saturday.
