Review my plan and give advice...aio and souveran and?

I recently made another thread about switching from zaino to pinnacle. Well after all the comments there I have decided to make the switch.

I am going to sell off all of my zaino stuff EXCEPT for the tire shine, and the leather cleaner and conditioner, and possibly my clay. I am also going to sell my sonus polishes.

As of now the only thing I am 100% on is that I am buying pinnacle souveran.

After some searching it seems that the klasse AIO under the souveran seems to be a popular choice. Is there anything that would work better?

For the wash, I am considering the pinnacle shampoo...I figure it should be designed to work well with the souveran, so why not? Should I just save my money and keep my zaino car wash?

For detail spray, I am looking at the pinnacle crystal mist. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

I have found a kit that contains everything mentioned above but includes the klasse high gloss sealant glaze. With this kit all I would need is to buy whatever soap I choose.

Klasse All-In-One, Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze, Pinnacle Souveran, Pinnacle Crystal Mist Spray Wax come together to create a forum favorite kit.

Where does the klasse high gloss sealant fall into the mix?

AIO

Sealant

Pinnacle

All feedback is appreciated.

Just a quick suggestion...don't sell off your Zaino (and other products). It's good to leave yourself options, and a lot of times, different products suit different situations better.

pinnacle shampoo is fantastic!!!! in fact i buy it buy the gallon. although not cheap . its the slickest shampoo out there. and a gallon last me a long time . you might also try the souveran spray wax. its fantastic as all the pinnacle lineup.

Don't sell off the zaino. You're going to want a durable sealant base under the souveran as it doesn't last very long. I use duragloss 501 instead of KAIO and its working well for me. I'd skip the crystal mist - I didn't like it. Look at surf city garage carnauba QD, Optimum car wax, and 4* spray wax - all are excellent carnauba wax boosters, and much better than CM. I'd also skip the pinnacle shampoo, something cheaper like the duragloss, griots, adams, optimum, etc shampoos are just as nice.

dont skip any pinnacle stuff. there are a little pricey .but work excellent.. you get what you pay for when it comes to pinnacle ...

From what I had read the pinnacle did not do too well over the zaino. I figured the klasse aio would be a good base under the pinnacle souveran.

And quite honestly, I am just tired of the zaino. It is great and all, but I have used it on the car since 04...it's time for a change.

slammin86- Be sure you like the Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo before you buy a lot of it. I used it for ages and it has great lubricity but it's *REALLY* harsh on LSPs, glad I switched to Griot's Car Wash (still have a gallon or so of the Pinnacle, it has its uses).

I use Souveran on the XJS, but I use it over top of AutoGlym Super Resin Polish, just gives a look *I* like better than over top of KAIO (at least on that paint).

I wouldn't think of KAIO as a "base", more like just a "prep". It's not like it really leaves anything significant behind IME (the way the SRP does). You might even be happier using Souvern over/after Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion, a sorta glaze-like paint cleaner. Or over/after DWG.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm starting to think I should keep the zaino for a while to make sure the pinnacle is for me. Who knows I might end up selling the pinnacle.

That's a very good idea :xyxthumbs

Much as I *DO* like Souveran, IMO it's a beauty wax that's just not the right approach for a lot of vehicles.

IMO it's best used as a stand-alone LSP, heavily layered. *NOTHING* I've ever used (and that's saying something!) has lasted/protected as well as six or more layers of KSG, but the look is, IMO, absolutely *WRONG* for many vehicles. Topping with a wax doesn't tweak it enough to be worth giving up the ability to add more KSG in the futuer IMO, so it's something I only use on the family minivan (an application for which it's *PERFECT*).

It's the only product I can recall hating so much on Audi silver that I stripped it off and redid the car!

Heh heh, FWIW, Souveran is my wife's fave on Audi silver. But I got tired of redoing her car all the time so now it wears Meguiar's #16 instead. People say Souveran is a "dark colors" wax, but we like it on silver and white too.
