Review: Meguiars Hyper Wash

Here is my review of the new Hyper Wash.

Im not sure if anyone has tried it, but what an awesome product.

First, the scent. It smells like hotel bathroom soap. Kinda weird at first but I got used to it after about the 4th car.

Second, dillution. 400:1!!!!! Wow!!!! Very highly concentrated. It is a gel in the bottle. I bought one of the pump tops and it really helped. Only 1/4 of a pump to 1.5 gallons of water. That is actually a littlte much. Yes this gallon will make 400 gallons of wash soap.

Third the lubricity. Very slick. I will be using it as my new clay lube since it is so concentrated. So much cheaper. It was $24 and change for a gallon. That is a little over $0.39 for a wash.

Fourth, overall. Overall I am very happy with the new wash soap. It is so concentrated and will last FOREVER!!!! My other gallon of regular car wash soap from megs lasted about 4 months. And I concentrated that lower than it should have been. I cant belive how long this will last me.

If you are a mobile detailer, this is definetly the soap to go with. I know QEW is still a cheaper and easier way to go, but I get way to many muddy and very dirty cars that QEW just will not handle. This is probobly the best $25 I have spent in a LONG TIME!!!!

I'll have to grab a gallon next time I am at my Meguiars distributor. Should last me at least a year since I'd mostly be using it at my customer's office with the deionizer.

How do you dispense that stuff? That would be .32 ounces of soap for every gallon of water. I usually only use 1.5 gallons of wash water to wash my car. Can you get a pump that pumps out less than an ounce? You mentioned 1/4 of a pump, so how much comes out with a full pump? 2 ounces?

Also, when you talk about slickness, what wash were you using before? Is it as slick as say #00? Thanks!

P.S. my calc says that for .5 ounces per 1.5 gallon wash, you'd pay a little under ten cents a wash if it were $25 (you said "and change").

OK. My calculator only puts out what the user puts in.(Mentall error). Yes it is only about $.06 a wash also.

Aurora 40- The meguiars pump dispenses 1 ounce per pump. I wasnt exact with the 1/4 of a pump, but I have used the dispenser so much that I can easily be consistant with only a little pump. I measured it when I first tried it, and tried to put the same amount every time.

I was using Megs Car Wash Soap before. I have tried #00 and slickness is very similar. It seems as though it lifts dirt a little better and floats it away. But as cheep as it is, why not use it as a clay lube.

Scottwax- I would say it would last you a lot longer than a year depending on how often you are doing those cars. If you are doing them everyother week, you should get at least 18 months out of it.

AutoNova- My dealer doesnt have the new Shampoo Plus and probobly wont for a while. They have about 400 gallons of Wash N' Wax still so they wont order the Shampoo Plus for a while. I am going to see if they can order me a case just to have some if it is better than the Wash N' Wax.

Looks like there are plenty of new high quality car washes being released. I just tried the Poorboys Super Slick and Suds with excellent results.

Thanks for the excellent review.

Just used it again today. I really like this wash soap. It has really nice suds and is so slick. Awesome. I will have some cars that need to be clayed this week and I am interested in how this is going to work. Shouldnt be a problem.
