Review: Meguiars FD

Just used FD for the first time this weekend. Didn't have any problem with smearing. Applied to windows, both inside and outside, with no smearing problems. Very satisfied with the results.



Does anyone know where you can purchase FD in 5 gallons sizes online?

You should check with your local Automotive paint supply store as they can probably order it in for you without any freight. I did that for my first gallon and it cost me about $17.00.

Home Depot carries a nice Zep professional 32 oz. spray bottle. It works great with FD.

I use an empty Quik Detailer bottle for my FD, seems to work just fine.



I used to have streak from FD until I started using it this way, which I'm sure I learned from Autopia...



Fold up a MF into 8, spray on face with FD - to stop the MF from soaking up the FD on the car, spray over a panel at a time and wipe over with the pre-wetted MF, leave for a few seconds, buff off with a clean MF, leave for another few seconds and buff off with another clean MF (not the same clean MF as used previously. When I've done the whole car i buff over again with, yes, you've guessed it, another clean MF.



Never had any streaks since then, and that's on a metallic black car.



Who knows, the above may help some who have had streaking.

The price break isn't significant by purchasing FD in 5 gallon quantities, but I'd probably save alot in shipping!
