Review: Meg's Wheel Brightner (Pics)

I guess I'm gonna have to order a gallon of Griot's to serve weekly duty.

Don't get me wrong, the Meg's is an amazing cleaner for dirty wheels.

Tom, I suprised you would use it so often. Forget the Griots and just use a heavy concentration of car wash soap. Your wallet will thank you.

Nice review. I love it for filthy wheels that are getting a good first time cleaning.

I'm a die-hard wheel cleaner user. I just don't get the same result using the car wash soap in a spray bottle...something is missing.

I'll just get some more Griot's and reserve my 5 gallons :chuckle: of Meg's Wheel Brightener for those special moments.

I made the mistake of using it on my polished alumium mags on my Sporty..put some nice white stains on there...nothing that some Noxon/Mother's/Flitz/NXT Polysh and about an hour couldn't cure though...:^(

It's some pretty scary stuff really. It's some kind of acid. Meguiar's won't even let you buy it on their site (you have to call in to order it)

This is a pretty potent acid and should be used carefully. Be specially careful if using in windy conditions, you don't want it blowing on your paint, eyes, neighbor's car, the cat, etc.

A good rule of thumb is to mix up the ratio you're going to use then dab some on an inconspicuous part of your rim, let it sit for 4-5 minutes then see what happens
