Review: Griot's 6" RO Polisher

Sure is a sweet deal. Plus thank you for posting the specs on the machines. Never knew the GG DA was at that power level.:thumbup:

How does the Griot's machine compare to the Flex?
I bought the Griot's, then sold my Flex a week later. I love the 6" Griot's!!!

The Flex is a solid machine, don't get me wrong. However, the Flex tries you control you, you don't control it, especially on non flat panels. It tends to be a drag after awhile, IMO. It could be due to the forced rotation, or counter clockwise rotation, not too sure? The Griot's is powerful enough to remove defects like that of the Flex even though it doesn't have forced rotation, and it doesn't try to control you, you control it. Also, I can use different size backing plates with the Griot's, can't do that with the Flex.

the Flex tries you control you, you don't control it, .

That's an interesting point. I've heard (read) other people say the Flex was a little hard to control... "it tends to wander", "better hang on!"... things like that.

Are you saying that the correction ability/time is comparable to the Flex?

From what I've heard, I would love to get one, but I already have a FLEX for polishing and a PC (4" for tight areas and 6" for liquid LSP's). I just don't have an excuse to get one. In any case, an incident recently cropped up and I find myself questioning their non-warranty services (actually, lack thereof would be more appropriate).
