I had been doing some research prior to buying. The 40% power increase over the PC is what caught my attention.:spy::biggrin:

How is the vibration compared to the PC? I'm leaning towards the V2 because of the reduced vibes, but if the griots is good, I'd go that route (longer warranty)

I bought the Griot's, then sold my Flex a week later. I love the 6" Griot's!!!

The Flex is a solid machine, don't get me wrong. However, the Flex tries you control you, you don't control it, especially on non flat panels. It tends to be a drag after awhile, IMO. It could be due to the forced rotation, or counter clockwise rotation, not too sure? The Griot's is powerful enough to remove defects like that of the Flex even though it doesn't have forced rotation, and it doesn't try to control you, you control it. Also, I can use different size backing plates with the Griot's, can't do that with the Flex.

That's an interesting point. I've heard (read) other people say the Flex was a little hard to control... "it tends to wander", "better hang on!"... things like that.

I upgraded from my old Griot's unit to the new one several months ago. I just love it. Power to spare.

From what I've heard, I would love to get one, but I already have a FLEX for polishing and a PC (4" for tight areas and 6" for liquid LSP's). I just don't have an excuse to get one. In any case, an incident recently cropped up and I find myself questioning their non-warranty services (actually, lack thereof would be more appropriate).
