UPS just delivered my EDGE 2000 Pad kit from autogeek.com.

EDGE PADS

First, I was really impressed with the packaging. Nice and neat....secure too.
Second, I love how they put the kit together. As you can see, it all came in a nice reusable box.

These pads are well made. I tried the white polishing pad out on my truck with some NXT. I sprayed it with the XMT Pad Lube. Let me tell you...these pads rock! I love the quick connect/disconnect. There is no way that the center with hit the paint. Plus, when I did my mirrors and door handles, there was no backplate to worry about.

Ok.....I believe these are the best thing to happen to the PC!
I used these pads today on a 2005 GMC Denalli Pickup....black. I used the yellow light polishing pad with #80. Pinnacles XMT Pad lube was applied to the pad first. Then I went to town. The pads are higher (thicker) and this felt wierd but awesome as I kept working. The best part is when I finished half the truck, I clicked and flipped the pad over and WHAM!....a clean pad! Two in one....awesome. I did not have to worry about centering either. There is no way that the center even came close to hitting the paint.

When I was finished, I used XMT Pad Cleaner. I sprayed both sides of the pads well. I then worked the cleaner in with my hands. I let sit for about 5 minutes. I ran warm water through the pad and worked it with my fingers. This cleaner gets 2 thumbs up as well! Pad looked like new!

I also used the white fine finishing pad with #21 Sealant then flipped over and use NXT when it was time. Of course I removed #21 off the vehicle first. This was a HUGE time saver!

Conclusion (hope you all are not being bored)

The EDGE 2000 system is an awesome system. No one would go wrong using them.

XMT pad lube and cleaner really works. I recommend it to anyone. There was never any caking on the pad while using this lube.

Thanks and here are some pices of the pads attachment system.

Good to hear you're happy with the XMT pad cleaner & lube. I'm waiting on my delivery & can't wait to use it. I use the Wolfgang pads & haven't used anything else. So what is the center of the edge pad made of? Is it pretty stable under high speed. I love the fact that you can flip the pad & use the 2 in one method. Just a little scary seeing the center bolt. Not having to center the pad is another time saver.

This must be a good review as I happen to agree with it. Edge's product is a great. It's that simple. I believe anyone who tries this would arrive at the same conclusion.

Center of the pad has a disc made of Delrin plastic. One of the strongest highly engineered plastics manufactured. The same material is used in making gears. It can last on a rotary at over 2500rpm so not to worry about the PC DA which does not get near that high a speed. The bolt is also completely recessed within the pastic as shown in the pic attached, so you never have to worry about hitting anything including a backing plate which on velcro pads is completely exposed. In a previsous thread many people shared their experiences with horror stories about backing plate strikes.

Great information, thank you. I'm getting a little tired of conventional pads where the backing peels off when there's plenty of life remaining in the foam. Edge looks better all the time.

Hey guys.
Well after 3+ weeks with my pads, I'm never looking back to velcro!

Simply a top notch product and company. Don't ever worry about the center hitting ANYTHING....won't happen. I even tried. I've hit everything with them. Emblems don't faze them....no rips. Adhesive is strong. I clean my pads sometimes 2-3 times a day....deep cleanings.

Did I mention the polish and lay down a coat of wax like no other?

Thanks man. I just do what I can when it comes to my work. I just love my job.

I love my pads. Wish I knew about them and the company earlier. Great people and products are hard to come by in any business nowadays.

Thanks to all of you and Aaron at EDGE.
