Product: Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine

Price: $6.49 (22 oz.)

Manufacturer's Claim: "... formulated to remove dust and light soil from painted surfaces without scratching or removing durable polishes. Actually bonds with the polish for added gloss and durability."

Usage: I used this product just like I use all of my quick detailers - one spray per panel, buffed dry with a plush microfiber towel.

Overall Thoughts and Notes: I've had the chance to use this product several times now on freshly washed and lightly dusty vehicles. This is definitely one of my top picks for QDs. It's easy to use and has a nice scent, but the slickness and gloss that it adds to the paint surface are truly something to note, IMO. The cleaning ability is light-moderate. I'm quite pleased with this product...especially for the great price.

Complaints: None to speak of so far.

Availability: Duragloss Car Care Products or parts stores such as Carquest, Napa, etc.

Good, concise review.I am probably one of the last people on this forum,to have tried Duragloss products, but i am glad that i did.

I think the products deliver the results that they promise, and at a more reasonable price than some of the competition.I really like their AW,and the #253 tire and rubber dressing, looks 'natural' and lasts longer than most other dressings that i have tried.

All in all, one of this years most significant discoveries,IMO.

NAPA may not carry the products, depending on individual stores. Last time I went to a NAPA, and they had no idea what I was talking about :) I've heard that many Carquests have it. Unfortunately, I don't have any Carquests nearby... When I run out of my sample AW, I'll probably be ordering directly from Duragloss.

Napa just carries a few products....No AW or FC&S....or 105..at least here in the N.E....

Carquest carries most and what they do not carry they made be able to get....

The FC&S is one sweet product...it does a great job....it is no waterless wash..but is a good in between cleaner type QD with added protection....I have even added a ounce of AW to a bottle of FC&S to up the shine and protection as told from DG that it was ok to do so..

To me it will work the same as S&W as I do not use either on any thing real dirty or gritty....just a few days of road grime and dust and bird bombs....

I buy the stuff by the gallons..I have even used it to clean inside the truck....dash... doors....jams...and it leaves a nice clean surface....it is great on electronic also..TV's..fridge..windows...it does what it says..just like all the DG products...and better..

sometimes it is better to get from the DG site..as i have gotten outdated stuff from carquest..as they do not move the product to good...

I've used a whole bottle of it and was nothing short of happy with it. Only reason I'm not picking up more is because I'm also satisfied with ONR in a QD dilution.

I really need to get down to a NAPA...

As far as Nashville goes..never found anyone that carries. Duraglos website has flat rate and recieved in two days.

Once people find out how good that is, QD sales might take a beating!

Still, Duragloss is a quality product line so I get it is at least worth trying.

It really is scottwax, Their 105 is very high quality, and ive tried zaino, Jeffs Werkstatt, IMO for its price, its a heavy weight.

IMO Duragloss kicks Megs butt

There's no question of that as far as protectants go. Meg's has the upper hand on abrasives though as DG really is more about protection and gloss.

Anyhow, the FC&S is a top QD for me too and really all I use now, since it's available locally at a great price.

Regarding the 105....well, it will hold its own with ANY of the big name brands, in terms of gloss and durability. Makes you wonder why some products retail for significantly more when the results are often no better or lesser!

Zane,

Curious of your thoughts on FC&S versus Z6? I find them remarkedly close in function, performance, and smell.

They smell nothing alike, IMO. Z6 has a concentrated cherry-ish smell and FC&S smells like blue coconut snow cones.

The final appearance seems to be pretty similar with the two.

It's hard to say exactly, but I think FC&S might leave a slightly slicker surface.
