RESULT: Haze and no swirl marks removed

Hey everyone, I watched that video that was linked to in a thread, blkyukon goes pretty fast when polishing w/ a PC, it seems to be alot easier than goin an inch per second, can those results be consistently accomplished with a fast arm speed like that or is it still recommended to go .5-1 inch per second?

I had this similar problem with slight hazing, mainly the hazing was due to micromarring. When I stood around 3-5 feet from my car the paint looked good, free of swirls. However where there sun hit it surrounding you would see hazing and micro marring surrounding, and it follwed as you would bend over to see it at different angles...I tried many things to try and fix it...after getting very frustrated with seeing no results I decided to try Megs #80 and a finishing pad. And it cleared up the paint perfectly, I tried #80 with a polishing pad and didnt get very far. So I used the Finishing Pad and went really slow. Hopefully this also helps in your situation. Can anyone tell us how mild this combination is and how often we could use it for micromarring or hazing on the paint. Thanks!

It depends on the paint, polish, pad etc.. I was only removing slight marring so the pressure was lighter & movement was a bit faster then when removing heavier imperfections.

Now when I'm removing deeper imperfections I do add more pressure and my movement is slower.

Once you know how the polish you are using works/breaksdown it becomes easier to judge your movement, pressure, speed, ect.. to get the job done.
