What say the experts on making some rubber trim at the base of side windows and surrounding f/r glass look somewhat new again? I need something that will last, soaks up nicely and provides some uv protection. Haven't got good results with 1z tiefenwhatever. Thanks guys.

I'm not an expert , but.......

I've had good results from Poorboy's Trim Restorer.

Durable and I haven't noticed any running when it's wet.

Shiny finish which could be buffed down , depending on your preference.

Rubber trim, plastic & vinyl has one thing in common they are made out of partly of oil which are elastomers & plastcizers. To restore rubber trim, plastic & vinyl just add a dressing that has elastomers & plastcizers in it. Any good trim restorer or vinyl protection should have it the ingredients.

Use peanut butter to remove any old wax or polish. It will also restore some shine because of the oils. Clean the PB with car wash soap or a DS, then your favorite dressing.
