I love, love, love this bodystyle. Nice find and the superlight wheels are a perfect touch. Nice turnaround.

Also changed wheels, removed strut tower bar, moved intake, tucked ignition wires, moved windshield washer fluid container, relocated battery, and changed license plates....:D Looks good.

Looks like quite a bit of other stuff was done under than engine bay, what else? :) I see the Rad overflow tank tube was rerouted, below that you added a tank with a red cap that I can only guess would be a oil catch can, next to the throttle cable at the intake there was a sensor? or somthing that was moved to where? The relay infront of the battery was moved to where? The tank left of the rad overflow was changed to a black tank why? How'd you fix the nick on the intake manifold on the far right cyliner? What grill did you change to also?

Just getting ideas for my buddies car....:)

What else on the car is Schrick other than the intake? I thought they only made cams for BMW, but I never looked into the company product lines. Also, just FYI, if it ever has a problem starting and you suspect it's the coil on the firewall...it is lol. I had a good argument with a customer once when he thought I was wrong, even after showing him where built up resistance cracked the housing and was grounding to the mounts....I refused to spend another min. on the car until I had the part in hand. He got it the next day and swore to never doubt me again lol.

Nice paint correction.

My Mk2 sucked and I hated it. Glad you two had different experiences from that torture.

schrick makes cams for the car also. I have CAT brand cams in the car now.

Great restoration! My brother had a regular 4-door golf (GL?) of about the same vintage. Our standing deal was that if I washed it for him, I could take it out on date night. :woot: Anyway, that car just drove so nice. Too bad it got stolen and stripped. :angry:bawling:

24v DO WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive been told you can run a 24v on 12v obd management

I've been told that too but you loose the function of the VVT if you go that route. This car runs off an 04 R32 ECU rerworked by APR. I had issues with the Audi TT ecu as it was DSG. I stuck a 5 spd O2A behind this motor.

Car is a 92 GTI 16V originally.
