Respecting One Another

Mark Waldron

Professional Detailer
I have been posting at other forums for a while now and I can honestly say this is the most civil forum I have ever seen. The people here are respectful of each other, and if their not, they get banned. It's nice to see a place where everyone seems to get along without all the bickering I've seen elsewhere. Thanks Dwayne for getting me connected!!

Right on! I know we aren't perfect but I think we are doing something right here at DC.

I like to call it "keeping it real". In the real world if you screw up it's called "disturbing the peace". At DC it's called "disturbing The Fuzz".

The one thing that we enjoy more than banning people is getting to know the members that CHOOSE to stick around! :bigups

I'll second that:bigups ....it would be no fun at all wondering if someone was going to shoot you down for asking a question or sharing a personal thought...that was quite evident at my detailing day, where everyone took the time to help each other no matter what the experience level..:beer here's to Dwayne for having the best site many of us call home:)

So where do you come off with your first post being about bickering and being civil?
And another thing, who the heck is this Dwayne, anyway? :D

Welcome to DC!
It really is a pretty good group. Most are a little crazy, but that makes me feel right at home. :)

Check this out...

In the behind the scenes management part of my Yahoo Store Premiumautocare.com I can track exactly where my traffic comes from.

Example: If someone logs in to a forum, any forum, in this case lets say Steve logs into a chevy Equinox forum and puts up a link to www.premiumautocare.com and people click it and I get traffic it shows up in my reports and not only can a easily click and go to the forum but it even takes me right to the thread where the link is.

Anyway, the reason that I mention this is that I will sometimes track where my traffic is coming from and check out these forums and I am pleasantly surprised to see what people are saying about PAC but more importantly what people say about the people at Detail City and how we are a very "newbee" friendly forum.
I guess some forums are hard on newbees... I wasn't aware of this and I don't understand why you would be hard on a sincere person who just happens to be new. Where's the hospitality?

Here is a quote from one of the forums I mentioned, pretty cool stuff:

"DetailCity is the forum which Dwayne runs. If you join, excellent forum on detailing...the guys are wonderful....they like noobs as well....if you join the forum, Dwayne will give you a 10% discount for club members."

Yep, we do like noobs at Detail City :bigups

I've learned a thing or two from you over the years Mr. Miagi.

Been here a week and everyone is fantastic. Nobody complaining about how basic or simple my questions have been. Everyone helpful with ideas, suggestions, comments, and links.

Glad to do my part by ordering supplies from the links on the site. I've already probably spend more in a week here than I have in a few years total from all online places!

BTW, Dwayne, got your email today/yesterday on my order...looking forward to getting my stuff from PAC...don't mind the Monday delivery...gives me another 6 days to read and get comfortable with all I have to do next Saturday instead of starting rushed tomorrow! I feel like when I was preparing for a test in grade school and it got postponed a few days because of snowdays! lol

DC is great place to be...

I am a member of about 10 other detailing forums, and this is the one I am on about 98% percent of the time. Its a great forum... especially if you do not mind being ripped daily by groebuck !!! :lmfao X1,000,000

I will never live down those socks !!!

I can see where some might take it as a personal threat to their lively hood in helping others learn how to do for themselves what they could be paying for -- I used to think that way before finding this place. Now I really don't care 'cause it raises the bar for everyone out there who's detailing -- at whatever level it is -- besides if I don't give away what I've been blessed to receive; how in the world will I ever get to keep it?? :)

I placed my first order with Dwayne and the whole process was extremely professional. I didn't get the discount because for some reason I couldn't post on this forum Oh well. I'll be buying from Dwayne in the future. Thanks to all who have already made me feel comfortable here.

Welcome aboard Mark Waldron. Glad to see some more people from WI. starting to join. I was feeling like a loner out on the forum. I am a member on other forums, but I spend my time mostly here. The people here are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone has been more than willing to give there advice. Congrat to Dwayne on such an excellent forum.

This forum rules!! It's a pleasure to be joined with a bunch of interesting people who enjoy detailing as much as I do.

Now, how about Beemerboy (Dave) setting up that DC meeting in Vegas this winter. Maybe we can detail a hotel's limos to keep the cost down for folks?

welcome to detail city ... i think dc is tops ive been here 7 mos and ive got my own wax ... where else could this happen ?

This place just wouldn't be the same without ya bigron62 !! And that vehicle I did today (link), I couldn't help but think about ya -- there was a bottle of that stuff up on the shelf :lmfao
