Replacement for Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant???

Do you know which version you have? I think I have version 2, it smells like bubble gum. The only problem that I have with UPP is that I have to allow it to set up for *at least* one hour before removal. Even with this hour of set up time, I get streaking upon removal(visible in direct sun only). This goes away with the next wash or a QD (not sure how the Qd effects bonding).

I think I remeber where you sometimes pull the car out into the sun, then wipe again with MF. I just wish I didn't have this issues as I love the looks/durability of UPP. I do not have these issues with wolfgang, even in with the high humidity in the summer.

The UPP I have seems to wipe off much easier then the EX. EX-p and WG I have. Half an houre and the UPP seems to wipe off with no effort at all. I think its the easiest sealant I have ever used.

Replacing Wolfgang shouldn't be hard, for me it was gone after the first or second wash.

In my opinion every product already mentioned would be a great improvement over what your using. Klasse and UPP are a nice combo for me.............

I can think of a hell of a lot better ways of cleaning up the environment but hopefully this will lead to new and better products. Thinking back on the start of emission controls in cars it was a rough start but look what it gave us, a new golden age of great cars, so it doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Bubble Gum? I think your thinking of EX-P maybe ? UPP is very ummm....Polymer smelling, lol. And yes, the sun will help in removal if your having problems with it, but that would be a first with UPP or EX-P for me. I first learned of this trick with Blackfire, but use it with all Polymer applications these days.....Except NXT, which Ive only used a couple times....(I think i gave away a few bottles of it)

Nope, definitely bubble gum. I have had the same bottle since early 03 (I think). I know that the formula was tweaked after that and the scent was removed, perhaps the new version would solve my issues. I have had no problems with EX-P, it just doesn't seem to be anything special to me. BTW, EX-P smells like cocunut to me. :)

Justa question...how does one use the EX-P since we are on the subject...leave it on for a considerable amount of time, or w.o.w.o method?

Also, someone listed NXT...is it considered a sealant?

Thanks.

I wipe EX-P off after it hazes. I've heard that if you leave it on longer it lasts longer, but I have to work outside, so I don't leave things on longer than necessary.

Put EX-P on thin, and remove after about 1/2 an hr. You could do a wipe on wipe off method, but I dont think your allowing the product to interact with the surface. Some use that method for quite a few products, I just dont think its the best option.

NXT is a Polymer sealant. Although you dont see many polymers come in cans !

I have EX+ with carnuba, WG & UPP: On dark cars I find the EX+ and the WG to produce more of a wet look but UPP is great on silver for bringing out the metallic flakes. I find EX+ to be the easiest to remove but all 3 are easy to apply. I always turn to Poorboys products on hot days as nothing I've ever tried is as easy to remove. Both EX+ & UPP are perfect replacements for WG.

I just ordered more WG Saturday, I asked them on the phone about that VOC restriction only because WG is water based so I thought that was very strange. They too were a bit surprised to find out from VOC that they couldn't ship. I was told that they are currently working with the people in California to clear this up, so I doubt this will be banned in CA for long. But since there is 20% and free shipping on the WG site this weekend ( I like a deal! ) I went ahead and got me some more items that I dont have room for!!
