Replacement/Alternative for EK

It has come to my attention that Meguiars will be discontinuing the Engine Kote product. Does anyone here know if they're planning a replacement or substitute for it?



Or, what are some autopian opinions of comparable products?

SlvrShadow, you could use Mop n Glo and spray it on as an alternative to EK. I photographed both side by side, the MnG is beige colored and the EK is white. Other than that, they sure do seem identical

I would never have thought of that. Would I be correct to assume that you have used both products with equal results?

Is the chemical composition of the two products similar? I'm planning to detail the inside of my wheel wells this weekend. I wonder how well the Mop N Glo would respond to radiant heat from the engine bay, considering it was designed for indoor use.



Opinions or recommendations from others?



I'm not fond of the idea of using Tire Foam, Armor-All, etc. to coat the inside fender wells.

Slvr, please see my PM, yep this stuff is VERY close to EK. I wish my post covering the 2 products including a photo wasn't MIA
 
Meguiars direct replacement for Engine Kote is their new Hyper Dressing (which replaces W Dressing) at 3:1 dilution.
 
But, also, Bill's right, Mop N' Glo is Engine Kote but with a housewife freindly scent. Though, when I bought MNG, it was about double the price of EK. Still haven't used it yet.

Just passing along the tip about EK v. MnG I heard elsewhere on this site. I know the local supermarket has a generic version of MnG, probably just as good for using on wheel wells. I will check out prcing once my EK is all used up..that will be some time from now

I've been looking and looking for the info on the new Detailer line, I dont see anything on meguiarsonline. I think that info was supposed to come out last week? :( :nixweiss
