Removing Zaino

If you don't need to polish, there are easier ways to remove the LSP. Try some IPA, or a paint cleaner. IP is a little stiff if you just want to do LSP removal.

What Setec said. If your just trying to remove LSP, use a paint cleaner man, no need to get aggressive.

use IPA with water at 50/50 this will remove all Z alone? when i searched this some was saying it would not remove...

Paradigm is right on, that will definitely remove the Zaino!



If you get some P21S paintwork cleanser or something similar it will take the Z right off. Im pretty sure an IPA would take off the Z, just do a test spot like half your hood then spray with water, if it doesnt bead anymore, Zaino is bye bye...



If IPA doesnt work and you have no paint cleanser just use the least abrasive polish you have with a finishing pad, that will take care of it.

This would be a good time to polish. To properly evaluate a new product the paint should be at it optimum. Removing just the LSP with alcohol or a dedicated cleansing solution will do nothing for the paints appearance except remove it protective element.

If the finish is in great shape, a paint cleanser / mild polish and claying session will be all that is needed. Few vehicles that are actually driven would not be served well by some prep.

Anything short of this will not be fair to the LSP being tested IMO. Start with a "clean" slate and you know your results represent "only" the product being evaluated.



Side Note: If you use P21S paint cleanser it will "bead" after usage unless you follow-up with a wash or IPA wipe-down. P21S contains a lot of polishing oils that will create and imitate a LSP-like beading. This post polishing/cleansing test (beading) is not an appropriate or necessary test for checking to see if your Zaino has been removed. P21S (GEPC) will remove any LSP including Zaino.
