Removing wax residue?

I have some trim on my car that has like a powdercoated/crinkle finish that resembles the finish on the pushbumpers on some suv's.I would like to know what to use to get the residue off?

peanut butter works I hear. Mr. Clean Magic eraser works great. Pb's trim restorer I hear works good too. Someone just had a thread about using A2Z on trim to remove wax residue.

Thanks alot .I really need to get it off its driving me crazy! I will probably try them all until I get it off.

I've been using A2Z wheel & tire cleaner since someone posted that it removed wax residue and it's been working great. An added benefit is that the A2Z is really a good cleaner for it's intended use of cleaning wheels & tires. I've also used the peanut butter method, which works great when applied with an old microfiber towel and a good amount of pressure. The peanut butter method seems to fade away after a fairly long period of time and the residue shows up again, but the A2Z seems to actually get totally clean off the wax residue.

The Mr. Clean Eraser easily removes the residue. No chemicals required, just water. I detailed a Ford Explorer yesterday and the owner was SHOCKED with the results. The interior grained plastic door panels were filthy with grease embedded into them. The eraser completely restored them. The rear bumper has a black plastic cap that was covered with wax residue. Again the eraser cleaned it perfectly. Wish I cold find my camera, Kids were playing with it and you know, kind of lost it.

Isn't A2Z pretty harsh... pH up around 14? Mind you a one shot use and rinsed soon as the wax is gone prolly isn't going to mess up the trim unless it lays in behind it. I use a Pink Pearl Eraser like you used in school .. no chemicals .. no oily mess .. usually everyone has one and only $0.29.

Thanks guys and I tried Jesstzn's eraser suggestion and it came off easily I was shocked at how something as simple as an eraser could clear that up bu, I still will try to add at least a2z to my collection just in case I need it in the future .:xyxthumbs
