removing water spots

How do you do it?

Clay bar, SMR? Can it be done by hand, or would a PC be more effective?

I attempted with a cleaner wax (zymol) and was unable to get them out completely! :( :nixweiss

Thanks

what I usually do is a dawn wash, dry the car completely, and if the spots remain use some mild acid....... I like 5% acidic Distilled White Vinegar...... just put it on there with a cotton terry towel or MF, and rinse with distilled water. If this doesnt take care of it, you can use a paint cleaner product such as Pinacle Paint Cleansing Lotion, or Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Step 1 or Clear Coat Body Scrub.....

anything those products won't remove will definitely require a professional using more harsh products, unless you feel safe using the Valugard ABC system yourself (I don't use it until a last resort - its rather scary stuff IMHO)

I used the ProWax's Power Lift Fallout remover today. Pretty good stuff! Read my review on it in the Detailing section titled, "Its burning my skin off" or something like that. I think it might be a better choice than the ABC system.
