Removing sap from windshield

Hi All,



What is the best way for me to remove tree sap from my windshield? I tried Windex with no success.

If alcohol wont do it, try medallion premium paint cleaner. If that doesn't work, try distilled white vinegar diluted 50/50 with water(or straight if its really bad).
 
A claybar will work nicely. I have used this in the past to remove

sap, overspray and other crap with much success.

If the sap is dryed on hard, clay won't even touch it(not sure about an aggressive clay like the red one from clay magic, but the regular ones wont budge dryed sap). I used meguiars medallion premium paint cleaner on a 6 inch dryed sap, and it took it right off no problem. Pretty dang good imo for a paint cleaner.



Only time you should even bother claying sap is if its fresh. If it isn't, save yourself some time and bring out a paint cleaner.
 
Take a rock.

Throw it at the windshield.

Windshield develops a crack.

Call the glass company for replacement.

Problem solved! :D
 
Before we had our trees cut down, (it was either have nice trees, or have a clean car) i would take a old towel spray some paint thinner on and let the towel sit on the windshield for a few mins, softens the sap right up, wipe the sap off with the towel than just clean the windows with some glass cleaner. I really hate trees :scared
