Removing PC velcro plate

rundmsef

I gotta have more cowbell
I purchased a used PC 7336 from a flea market. It came with the 6" velcro backing plate and vaccum hood already attached. The PC came with no tools or instruction manual. How exactly do I remove the velrco backing plate so I can attach my new Edge Pads with the quick disconnect?

The pad should unscrew from the machine if you can get a 9/16" open end wrench on the hex on the unit.
The factory wrench is flat steel and a regular open end wrench may be too thick to get to the hex.

rundmsef, If you need the wrench that comes with the PC call me, I have an extra that I would be glad to send you since you are trying to adapt the machine to our system. Do you have the shorter adapter?

Nice thing to do Aaron. Also good business but it's a nice thing to do. I think I'm gunna stay with Edge pads based on what I've seen from you on DC. I like doing business with good people like you, Ranney, Steve, Dwayne....sorry if I missed others in this list. Integrity/heart is everything.

I love your pads on the rotary.....especially with the connecter. I just received the connecter and my Edge pads for the PC yesterday and will get to try them out this weekend. It'll be very nice to be able to use both sides of the pads. Like getting two for the price of one.

Question: The rotary pads are available with different foam on each side. Are the PC pads available with say white on one side and blue on the other.....one side polish the other finish?

Jim, Thanks so much for the compliment and vote of confidence in our pads and company. Also thanks Steve, you are correct the 6inch E2K DA pads are also available as custom combos. Just specify to Dwayne what combo you want. I think Marj has tried a combo or two and may have some feedback for you.

Actually, I haven't tried any combo pads yet. I've tried the E2K rotary, E2K DA, and Durafoam DA (as well as the original DA) pads; but they were all single texture models.

JimS - Make sure you have the shortened connector for use with your PC.

Less than 24 hours after I called Aaron, the wrench is at my doorstep! I'll post some pics next week of my weekend project. Thanks again Aaron.
