?removing old wax from plastic trim?

I had a friend wax my Toyota Tundra pickup. He made a mess and got wax all over the black plastic trim around the fenders, wheel wells and bumpers. Any advice on how to remove this stuff?

I applied with a terry applicator and removed with a microfiber towel. (the wax never appeared again by the way)

I use 303 cleaner or simple green to remove old wax. Gotta be careful not to get it on the paint though.

Megs plastic and vinyl cleaner works great for me. Then I go over it with trim restorer.

PB Trim Restorer is good stuff.

Top of the Line carries a product called gr-40. It is the absolute best for this type of thing. I bought this product after Anthony Orosco raved about it. Well, it is the truth, trust me.

The Peanut Butter will only hide the wax stains. To remove them you need to use a cleaner, cleaning polish (AIO), erasur, etc. IMHO that the Peanut Butter makes a h#$l of a mess too.

That is not true. Peanut butter was the only thing I used that removed them for good. I tried Meguiarsm simple green, and various other products and the peanut butter took it away for ever.

Yeah, I agree. The peanut butter got rid of the wax. It was all I used, the wax did not come back. It was gone.

I use my power washer and then a good trim restorer.

Never tried PB, but I will say again, GR-40 from TOL is the best by far I have used. I am guessing it is less messy than PB.
