Removing old undercoating or rubber wheel well spray

I want to remove this from the rear wheel wells of my Subaru because the stuff has worn away in some spots. How do I remove the coating? How do I or should I re-apply the coating? The car is a 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon. Does anyone know if the car had the rear wheel wells undercoated?

Spray a really hot grade degreaser the old surface and let sit for about 15 minutes and then use a pressure washer preferrably hot water but cold water will work make sure it has at least 1500 psi. And that should remove it. You can then either reapply a rubberized undercoating or just spray it back black with a good acrylic enamel . Here at Sharp Images we just use Rustoleum Gloss Black because it retains a shine and holds up extremely well.

SO if anyone has any questions about anything feel free to email me @sharpimages2001@yahoo.com . Professional answers for Professional Questions

I would just buy a can of spray undercoating and go over it. I was restoring a 240z that i was stripping the undercoating off and it is a MESS. I used a torch/xylene to remove it.

Thanks for the info.

What type of prep should I do before spraying enamel or undercoating (any particular brand)?

Sharpimages,
When you say hot degreaser, do you mean something with a high pH? Also, after spraying degreaser should I agitate or scrape before power washing? How many applications is normal?
