What is the best method to remove layers of old and dry dressings and conditioners from leather seats?

#5 Returning to the original finish prior to protection or conditioning re-application. A leather-safe system is without the fear of physical harsh scrubbing damages and worries of streaks.

This stripping is recommended as soon as soiling builds up to reduce damages or distorts the beauty of the finishes, easier to look for a system with matched product that takes care of routine, periodic and restorative care in a maintenance cycle.

I did a leather cleaner test a year or so back. The thing that worked best was plain old Woolite & water, I used 10 : 1 and distilled water to make my cleaner. The other leather cleaners worked, don't get me wrong, but they either took more scrubbing or a second application. Of course, this is the anti-Christ to the leather guru's who'll tell you I'm nutty as squirrel poo and that blah blah product is SO superior. Whatever, it's cheap, it works, and if it harmed anything I think I'd seen it by now. But don't take my word for it, try it if you dare.

And somebody will post that Woolite's web site says not to in 3...2...1...

An opinion may be the result of a person's perspective, understanding and / or experience of the subject, or their specialised knowledge or research. However your opinion, perspective, understanding and / or experience may differ and it’s perfectly OK to reject the other person’s conclusion. Detailing is all about what works for you and what meets your detailing goals

Use a mild leather safe cleaner combined with some cafeful aggitation will clean away any mess you'll most likely encounter.

I also tried 3D LVP Cleaner and found it to be very gentle on delicate leather finishes too just in case you're after another cleaner....

Roger Koh- Check your emails, I'm trying to spend $ ;)

JuneBug- Was one of the Leather Cleaners (that you compare to Woolite) Leather Doctor's Prep 7.7? Just asking, you know I'm not picking a :argue here...
