Removing inspection sticker and residue

I finally removed the registration stickers from my NYC days (front lower left - drivers side windshield). California puts them on the plate. Piece of cake with distilled vinegar ( I got the majority off just by peeling, the remaining, I used vinegar)

I use some goobegone junk my wife had lying around, I always laughed at it, but damn it took that VA sticker crap right off. 5 minutes with that and a razor blade and there is nothing left.
