Removing Grease?

I am gonna do a "work truck" this weekend lol....:rolleyes: owner specifically asked if I could get a couple small grease stains out of the front seat. I told him I would see what I could do. Will pre treating it with my Shark and then some Folex and extract with my shop vac do the job? Has some grease on the vinyl door also up near the window where you rest your arm. Figured I can get that out with some Woolite and scrubbing. Not sure about the carpet though. HELP!!!
 
Try using the woolite for the carpet as well. I cleaned the interior of my car using woolite and water (1:10) and was too lazy to get a dedicated carpet cleaner out, darned if the woolite did a good job on the carpet stains as well.
 
Get Spot Shot by Zep at Home Depot for the grease on the carpet. Amazing product for spot cleaning tough stains.
 
To be honest, I would love to capture the construction industry which is full of work trucks. Don't be sorry that it's a 'truck'. It's work and do it to the best of your ability and you'll be doing Aston's in no time. ;)

For grease, remember that you need to *emulsify* the grease and some products do that a lot better than others. While it's emulsified, you might do better with blotting (use something highly absorbent) than with extracting, so try both methods.



The steam works better on some spots like this than on others...seems like sometimes the grease doesn't stay emulsified long enough to be drawn out when you just use the steam, but other times it works like a charm. Hope you get lucky!



For the carpet, I'd be using a professional-strength pre-spotter and *HOT* water. Sometimes steam just doesn't work as well as lots of really hot water.
