Removing glue from windows?

Hi,

I've been trying to remove a window sticker. I've used some rubbing alcohol and most of the glue is gone. Now all that's left is glue that seems to have been hardened and won't come off. What's a good way to remove it? I was going to use some nailpolish remover or goo gone, but I'm not sure if the car has some level of factory window coating/tint that might be damaged.

SVTdude,
Check with your dealer about the window coating first, just to be safe. Then try a scraper. They usually have straight edge razor on one end of them. That should make quick work of the glue. One of the cars that I detail goes racing every Sunday, they put a sticker on the window, and every Thursday I am scraping it off.:)

ok here's an easy way...take a hair dryer and heat it up..it'll come right off...

ok I'm giving away more secrets:rolleyes:

That's not a secret! :D

glue on windows...

Here is what I do. Remove the excess glue with a fresh razor blade then follow with some steel wool and window cleaner.
