Removing fresh wax to try another product

Well AIO leaves its own layer of sealant behind so if you really want a fresh, clean surface the PrepWash is the way to go.

Would a good clay job work?

No. In most cases clay doesn't totally remove wax. It only abrades it somewhat. It would be a very innefficient way of trying to strip wax.

I hava a similar question.

I want to remove the #16 and not touch the SG underneath so I can apply a few more layers of SG.

Last week I did all the prep work (clay, paint cleaner, polish, AIO) and applied 1 layer of SG, then (24 hours later) 1 layer of #16. I think I will have a bit more free time before the snow falls so I want a few more layers of SG befor I re-apply the #16.

Any suggestions, or do I have to start with the AIO then the first layer of SG again?

Removeing just one layer of a product would be really tough, I havn't yet tried that nor have I heard of any way of doing it. There would be no real way on knowing what you actually removed or didn't remove. I don't have any experience in this but I would say it would be impossible. You would have to start fresh fom AIO again.

Thanks Intercooled. I thought maybe because SG was an acrylic resin it would resist something that wax could not. A girl can dream...
