Removing egg?

Looking for some advice. A friend from out of town called with a paint problem. Seems a friend of hers had their cared egged. They took it to a pressure wash place and didn’t get it off.

If they were local the answer would be obvious. I would work on it myself but doesn’t look like that will be an option.

Any tips, tricks, or recommendations I can pass along?

try scrubbing the area with a degreaser if that don't work step up to a solvent based cleaner and if that don't work try laquer thinner, if any of these three work i would polish that area back out afterwards. ANd if they don't work i would just wetsand the area and go from there
 
Bug Squash took care of some egg that had been thrown at my window when I went on vacation, I sprayed it on full strength and let it sit for a minute then wiped off. It came off like water and it had been on there for a couple of days.
 
Depending on how long the egg was on the car it may have etched the clear some what.........I would wash the area with Dawn dish soap it will take all the egg off, then finish up the car with regular soap....Clay the area to clean as best possible.... inspect the area to see if its etched at all wet sanding might be in order, if they are not people that can do this then...head for the polish and work well in the area to smooth the clear best possible. Finish up the car with polish and wax
 
Enzymes in the egg have stained the paint and the egg shell upon impact has left permanent ecliptical marks. A polishing and wetsanding can improve the area but only a re-paint will totally fix it.

I ran into that problem with my Passat. I swore that if I ever found the people responsible I would help them to understand the pain. I had to re-paint to get it rid of it totally.
 
Thanks for all the advice and tips. I passed the information along. Unfortunately I’ll probably never see the results of his work. Hopefully this will never happen to my car but thanks again for the advice.

The best method to remove dried on eggs is to first lay a cotton towel down on the area to be treated and saturate the towel w/ warm water and alow to sit completely wet overnight.
