Removing DACP

The first time I tried to remove the swirls out of my truck...I used DACP with the PC...it worked great but was VERY tough to remove. So...I figured I would try Poorboys SSR2...well that doesn't seem to get the swirls out for me...? So...I am gonna have to go back to DACP. I want to do this because I want to sell my truck soon and I want the paint to be in tip-top shape.

I was wondering how you removed DACP. I was thinking of getting one of those buffing bonnets to remove it...that would atleast save my arm the pain. But I didn't know how well these worked...so what are your thoughts?

The best way to do it is to keep working it till you can't see it anymore. Keep working it till the pad you applied it with is practially buffing it off for you. Then it buffs off smooooooothly. :naughty

Do you need a cutting pad, or could you get by with a polishing pad? Speed is still between 5 and 6

Like Fuzz said, Buff it til it is pretty much gone. If it is still difficult to remove, mist over it with Meguiars Final Inspection or another non-silicone detailing spray and wipe with a MF or cotton towel. It is very easy to use too much DACP with the PC ... a little goes a long way.

I have had the same types of issues with DACP on badly oxidized paint. I have no solution to it, even 50/50 alcohol/water didn't take off some of the residue. I like PB's SSR's better on PC and Menzerna on rotary better than DACP, mine is collecting dust now.

I like DACP with a PC....using those 2 together is practically IDIOT-PROOF! The PC won't damage the paint, and DACP will TELL you when it's done. Run the PC w/ the DACP until that application of DACP is DUST! I never had ANY problem getting DACP off any car I've done. In my experience, the only thing left is dry dust. It just wipes off w/ a microfiber. SOMETIMES, I use some QD.
