removing 3m tape gunk...how?

Just took off the lip of my bodykit.

had it on for about 2 years.

Was on w / a couple screws and 3M tape.

How in the heck do i get the 3M gunk off my bumper.

I spent about an hour on a 5inch portion.

Just rubbed and rubbed and rubbed.

Blister on my thumb.

Then used GooGone. Came off.

But I can't see spending another 8-10hours on the rest of the bumper. My wife would kill me.



Is there an easier way?

please advise.

well the garage where i go to use some sort of tin containing "thinners" of some sort. i think its cellulose thinners but dont quote me. wish i could be of more help.
 
does the 3m adhesive remover work on tar stains aswell? you know the nasty dots of asphalt that acummulate on the bottom of your car every few months? the tar remover i have is a nightmare! my arm aches after use!
