Removing 3 week old application of S100, SG, and AIO???

Can I use Dawn to remove my 3 week old application of S100, SG, and AIO? I would like to try my Poorboy line up tomorrow. Any suggestions?

I don't think Dawn is going to remove the SG .. but if the Poorboys has any cleaners or abrasives it will lift it .. Also AIO will prep the surface and should lift the SG.

True most waxes are modified greases but the amino functional silicones can hold on tight sometimes even through dawn wash.

What's wrong with Dawn for removing wax?

Some worry that the Dawn will dry out rubber seals, etc. Never been a problem for anybody that *I* know, but I still wouldn't make a habit out of it (in fact, I hardly ever use Dawn on cars these days, maybe once a year on a beater-project). FWIW, the first step of ABC and other decontamination systems is a *lot* harsher than Dawn, and these products are *made* for washing cars (but not for frequent use).

A good coat of wax won't be stripped by a Dawn wash. I've done plenty of strong-mix Dawn washes that didn't really dent waxes like Meg's #16, let alone waxes like Collinite.

As Dennis H. said, Dawn won't do much to a good, fresh coat of sealant either. Dawn just isn't that strong of a cleanser.

If you're not content to let the polishes just cut through everything, try rubbing alcohol or PrepSol. They *do* remove SG.
