how do you suggest i remove all the brow looking dirt/grime/crap from the interior of my 89 firebird? in these pics you can see how like the steering wheel is discolored and crap, the armrests are the same too. What should I do?
Thanks,

I worked on a white avalon with baige interior that looked so dark that I didn't even take before pictures thinking that I couldn't make much of a difference anyway. But after 3 hours with woolite mix this is how it looked.

WOW!! that's beautiful! Nice job. Do you find the woolite mix to be better or as good as say megs APC?

I have found an APC with an interior brush to aggetate the grime works well. Also, you may want to try a steamer if you have access to one. Good luck!

thanks! I haven't tried megs apc, but I really want to. Sean uses both so maybe he will chime in here.

If you have a pc. You might want to try some brush attachments with it. Top of the Line has a 4" brush for vinyl & carpet. Sorry Dwyane, I just saw where you had only the carpet brush?

I suggest PB's Biodegadable Cleaner. I haven't tried the new dillutable version, but the older one worked quickly and easily on a smoke covered interior (dash, armrests etc.). No hard scrubbing, just a spray, a bit of rubbing with a cloth, then a final wipe. With the carpet, PB's Bio.... is supposed to work for carpets too. Another option if you want to just spray and wipe off is Adam's carpet cleaner. A bit pricey, but also worked on smoke discolored interior (door panels, seats etc.).

Dilute an APC 10:1. It will prove to be much stronger than Woolite 6:1, but it still safe for vinyl, rubber, and plastic.

You may wanna grab some crappy MF's as well.

I just did this in the CRX to get out the cig smell. I took everything out, then I hit it with some 1:2 Simple Green, I'll be re-dying anyway but if I weren't, I'd go with the APC. I let that sit for a little bit, then I scrubbed the crap out of it. I hosed it off and then rubbed a bunch of Armor-All in. Sorry, no pics, it's getting recall work done and it still has a lot to go, so no peeking. It'll be ready in anywhere from one month to five years, financially dependent.
